Professional Certificate in Carbon Neutrality and Green Finance
(18.5-hour Training)
Programme objective
It provides updated professional knowledge on Carbon Neutrality and Green Finance for practitioners (e.g. stakeholders in high emission industry, asset owners, banks, asset managers, etc.) in the market whose clients need to achieve carbon neutrality and consider green and sustainable finance as the transition tools.
What Will You Learn?

To obtain fundamental understandings of climate change, de-carbonization road map, carbon neutrality and global carbon markets, also the climate disclosure requirements (TCFD and ISSB-S2).

To understand the key elements of green and sustainable finance (including taxonomies, ESG Rating, responsible investments, and green financing, etc.) and the new green and sustainable finance trends.

To earn hand-on experiences on carbon neutrality and green and sustainable finance through two workshops conducted by industry partitioner.
Course Content
5 Online live courses (13 hours)
- Introduction and Updates on Climate Change and Carbon Neutrality (2 hours)
- Hong Kong, China and International Carbon Market and Carbon Credit Frameworks (2 hours)
- Hong Kong, China and International Climate disclosure requirements (e.g. TCFD and ISSB) (3 hours)
- Green Investment and ESG Rating (3 hours)
- Green & Sustainable Finance and Transition Finance Frameworks (3 hours)
2 Face-to-face workshops (4 hours)
- Workshop on practical cases sharing on carbon neutrality and carbon market (2 hours)
- Workshop on practical cases sharing on green finance and transition finance (2 hours)
1 Written Examination (1.5 hours M.C. Question Exam)
Who should attend?

Financial services industry (currently or previously in service); or
-
Non-financial services industries whose roles and/or responsibities

Involve GSF considerations (currently or previously in service); or

Full-tme or part-tme students at a university or local tertiary instituation, with a view to obtaining a bachelor’s degree or higher qualifications in relevant disciplines; or
-
Holders of bachelor’s degrees or postgraduate degrees in relevant disciplines.
