Introduction

  • Building Information Modelling (BIM) is now one of the hottest developments evolving in the construction industry. Working with BIM will however have legal consequences and liability exposures. This is particularly so for designers and consultants. This seminar explores the legal issues involved in the use of BIM.

  • Through situation discussion and case review, the practical issues and legal aspects of BIM are examined and shared in the context of the contractual legal landscape of BIM. Further, it goes on to outline the key challenges and areas that those involved in the development of BIM.
