Legal Aspects for Financial Technology
Financial technology (“FinTech”) refers to the financial-related application of information technology and innovation, which aim at providing more accessible and effective financial services to all. This enhances the usage of financial activities and forms an inseparable part of the business sectors nowadays. Some of these new financial technologies have forced on ways of crowdsourcing, crowdfunding, e-payment, e-commerce and these bring about legal issue, etc. As such, it is crucial for technical or business professionals to keep abreast of the development and practice of FinTech as featured in decided cases.
Through study and review of decided cases, laws and regulations of such financial technologies are explained and illustrated so that proper precautions and plans can be drawn up accordingly.
